Bac Ha Trekking 2 Days 1 Night – Authentic Local Experience
The 2-day 1-night trekking tour in Bac Ha, Lao Cai,Viet Nam is a great opportunity to discover the authentic culture and natural beauty of the mountains in northern Vietnam. This trekking journey will take you through peaceful landscapes, rice terraces, forests, and traditional villages of ethnic minority communities.
During the trek, you will have the chance to meet local people, learn about their daily life, and experience the warm hospitality of local families while staying in a homestay. This experience is perfect for travelers who want to explore the real countryside of northern Vietnam, far away from crowded tourist places.
Day 1: Bac Ha – Na Tha – Corn Fields – Rice Terraces – Ta Van Chu
The trek starts in the morning from Bac Ha town. After a short walk, you will reach Na Tha village, home of the Tay ethnic group. The trail passes through plum gardens, then continues along small mountain paths and through local corn fields.
Along the way, you will enjoy beautiful landscapes and pass several villages of the Flower H’mong people.
Around midday, you will stop at a high point in the mountains to enjoy a picnic lunch while admiring the beautiful scenery of Bac Ha.
In the afternoon, the trek continues through La Di Thang village, crossing fields and mountain paths before arriving at Ta Van Chu village, where you will stay overnight in a local homestay.
In the evening, you will share a traditional dinner with the host family. You can also taste the local corn wine and learn more about the culture, traditions, and daily life of the local people.
Day 2: Ta Van Chu – Mountain Ridge – Ngo Sang – Ban Pho – Bac Ha
After breakfast at the homestay, the trek continues along the buffalo and horse trails used by local villagers.
The path gradually climbs up to a mountain ridge about 1,600 meters above sea level. From the top, you can enjoy panoramic views of valleys, rice terraces, corn fields, and the surrounding mountains of Bac Ha.
Lunch will be served during the trek.
In the afternoon, you will descend to Ngo Sang village, then continue through Ban Pho village before returning to Bac Ha town. The trek usually finishes around 4:00 PM.
